Her Bucket List

About us

We started because one trip almost did not happen.

Her Bucket List is a women-only travel company based in Jaipur. We run small-group trips across India and abroad for women who are done waiting for the right time.

The start

2021, and a cancelled ticket.

Our founder had booked Spiti twice and cancelled twice. The first time because a cousin's wedding moved. The second time because nobody at home was comfortable with her going alone, and she could not find a group that was only women.

The third time she stopped asking and put out a post looking for seven women to split a vehicle. Eleven replied in a day. That trip ran in September 2021 and every one of those eleven women has travelled with us again.

That is the whole thesis. There was never a shortage of women who wanted to go. There was a shortage of trips built for them.

Where we are now

  • 1,400 women travelled since 2021
  • 9 trips, 32 fixed departures a year
  • Six full-time women trip leads
  • 41 percent of travellers come back

Update these figures before launch so they match your records.

What we believe

Three rules we do not break

These are not marketing lines. Every trip we plan gets checked against them, and we have dropped destinations that failed.

She does not have to justify the trip

Not to a partner, not to a parent, not to us. We never ask why you are going alone, and our forms do not ask for a husband's name.

Nothing goes on the itinerary untested

Every stay, driver and guide has been used by a member of our team first. If we have not slept in the room, it is not on the list.

The price on the page is the price

No compulsory tipping pool, no surprise entry fee on day four, no upsell on the trip. What is not included is written down before you pay.

How we got here

Five years, one departure at a time

2021

The first Spiti group

Eleven women, one hired tempo traveller, a spreadsheet for an itinerary. We came back and immediately planned the second.

2022

Registered as a company

Four trips within India, all in the Himalayas and the Northeast. We hired our first full-time trip lead.

2023

First trip outside India

Bali, twelve women, nine of them flying internationally for the first time. Six needed a passport made. We learned to build that into the timeline.

2024

The 45 and over groups

Enough women in their fifties asked for a slower pace that we started running departures built for it. They sell out first now.

2026

Nine trips, thirty two departures

Georgia joins the list. Our office moved out of a bedroom in Jaipur and into an actual office in Jaipur.

Who travels with you

Our trip leads

One of them is on every departure, from the airport pickup to the drop. They are employees, not freelancers hired for the week.

Safety

What we do so your family stops worrying

You can send this section to whoever needs convincing.

Before you go

You get the full stay list with addresses and phone numbers, your trip lead's number, and a 24x7 India helpline that reaches a person, not a queue. Emergency contacts are collected at booking.

While you are away

Your trip lead does a headcount at every transfer and shares a daily update to the group. Drivers are the same people we have used for years, never a pool cab arranged that morning. Rooms are always on the same floor.

The trip is not going to book itself.

Pick a date, hold your seat with 25 percent, and start counting down.
